At Higham's Heritage Engineering we are able to patch your water tanks, this service is to enable you to get you by until you are able to get a new one.
Long term repairs are also available.
For now we only repairing but we are looking to eventually be able to build new tanks.

Locomotive Maintenance/Repairs
We offer an extensive range of services, ranging from replacing a corroded pipe, keeping your Locomotive going or to a full overhaul up to your chosen standard. Locomotive repairs/maintenance services are available for both steam and diesel Locomotives of any size. If we can't manufacture the parts ourselves we have a range of reliable contacts who can.

Boiler/Air Receiver Inspections
We will produce a thorough and detailed schedule of work to ensure your boiler (Railway and Traction Engine Boilers) are fit for service and complies with UK Legislation; At each stage of work we will continually monitor the progress of work, ensuring it's up to the correct standard and is compliant.
Upon completion we will produce a comprehensive report along with certification in line with UK Legislation.

Following your initial enquiry I will arrange to assess the Boiler, this is in order to determine the scope of work required to bring it up to compliance.

Secondly, I will produce a written report on the result of my findings. This will highlight all necessary repairs and breakdown the statutory requirements that apply throughout.

Major Overhaul - After the completion of the Schedule of Work, the following tests will be undertaken:
